Development DBA - SQL Sever - Perm - Huntly - To 45k GBP plus bens

We have been tasked by our Aberdeenshire based client to recruit a SQL Server DBA to join a successful and expanding technical team. You will form part of this collaborative development team designing, developing, administering and optimising databases, implementing improvements, back-end access and functionality, ensuring security and developing reports. You will have excellent communication skills, be a great team player who works quickly and effectively and will take pride in delivering quality solutions. To be considered for the role your experience should include;

Role responsibilities:
- Work as part of a collaborative development team
- Administer and optimise existing databases
- Identify and implement improvements to database design and implementation
- Provide back-end access and functionality for new applications
- Collaborate effectively with technical and business teams / stakeholders

Personal and technical attributes:
- Expert knowledge of SQL Server Database Administration (SQL Server 2005 to 2012 ideally)
- Additional experience in all aspects of database development (T-SQL, Stored procedures etc)
- Performance tuning and system optimisation
- Experience of clustering and replication
- Solid understanding of general Microsoft technologies ideally including .NET
- Educated to degree level and/or relevant Microsoft qualifications would be desirable
