Abrecco have been tasked by our well established Edinburgh based client to source a systems engineer to join a technical team responsible for the implementation, configuration and ongoing support of virtualised Microsoft Windows Client/ Server environment, voice and data networks as well as back up and storage solutions. You should be self motivated with excellent communication skills and enjoy delivering IT services in a professional business environment.

Role Responsibilities
- Provide critical application and computer/network support relating to software and hardware
- Install, configure and maintain virtualised Windows Servers
- Monitor and maintain Active Directory and MS Exchange environments
- Maintain LAN, WAN, VOIP and Video Conferencing (performance, security, documentation and support)
- Maintain the data storage and backup systems
- Maintain the remote access infrastructure
- Maintain the company hardware, software and licensing inventory
- Be responsible for documenting the configuring of the relevant IT systems and procedures

Personal and technical attributes:
- Active Directory/Server 2008/2012
- VMware / vSphere virtualisation
- Microsoft Exchange 2010 / Active Directory
- Voice, Video and Data networking (Avaya and HP ideally)
- Symantec Backup Exec
- Physical hardware management including / laptop provisioning
- Full UK driving licence
- SAN/NAS experience particularly EMC storage solutions would be beneficial
