Abrecco’s Edinburgh based client is offering a keen Application Support Analyst a great opportunity to get stuck into project delivery alongside their application support duties working across database, MI, BI, workflow and document management systems amongst others. The lucky candidate will be well rewarded for their efforts as they get involved in projects from requirements gathering to solutions delivery (even leading on some smaller ones) and act as a point of escalation for the Service Desk team, resolving application issues efficiently and preventing their reoccurrence. What you’ll do:
- Acting as a point of escalation for the Service Desk Team and resolving application issues
- Being involved in project delivery; gathering requirements, configuring, shaping and implementing solutions
- Leading on smaller projects and ensuring solution resilience and scalability
- Building on existing platforms and applications to meet business needs
- Mentoring and inducting new/less experienced team members

What you’ll bring:
- A solutions-focussed mindset and awareness of new tech to identify areas for improvement
- Experience in a hands-on application support role, troubleshooting application/data issues
- Previous hands-on experience with SQL Server (2014/2016) / TSQL including query execution
- Infrastructure technology knowledge (AD/virtualisation and storage tools, etc.) would be beneficial
- Any experience with Aderant Expert / SSRS / Intapp / Qlikview / iManage would be advantageous
