This lucky individual will be leading from the front; taking a technically hands-on approach to delivering robust local and integrated infrastructure solutions, and oversee BAU support, change initiatives and project delivery going forward.

Abrecco’s Selkirkshire based client is looking for an Infrastructure Manager to work at their office which is easily commutable from Edinburgh. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise together with the ability to manage the wider infrastructure delivery team to ensure the effective delivery of projects and change initiatives on time and within budget. What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the local IT estate administering networks and systems
- Management or Project and change initiatives
- Lead, Manage and mentor the local team while liaising with business users and the wider EMEA IT function
- Set and manager service delivery levels ensuring team priorities are aligned with the business.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity provisions
- Manage 3rd party vendors and suppliers

What you’ll bring:
- Ability to manage a fast-paced infrastructure team, projects and change initiatives (deployments/upgrades/etc.)
- Strong knowledge of network support/administration (e.g. TCP/IP, LAN/VLAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
- Experience of administering infrastructure in Linux (RedHat/ Debian or others) and Windows environments (Active Directory administration)
- Knowledge of physical/virtual and cloud infrastructure technologies (Server hardware, VMWare and/or Hyper-V, Azure/cloud etc)
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to translate IT requirements to non-technical individuals
- Previous experience of information security management
- Ideally degree educated in a relevant technical subject or industry certified
