Abrecco are looking for a talented and experienced Python Developer for our client based in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre. Their well established and innovative R-D Development centre is looking to expand its team and they’re looking for a confident individual with experience across the full software development lifecycle to do so. The lucky candidate will also have excellent communication skills, ideally experience with Test Automation (Selenium, etc.), and be able to work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver a variety of software solutions. What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and improving the team as they contribute to the development and support of platforms and automation frameworks
- Developing Python based solutions and integrations in a Linux environment
- Identifying opportunities to leverage test automation technologies
- Reviewing current systems and operations and identifying areas to improve
- Liaising with stakeholders at various levels

What you’ll bring:
- Strong degree in Computer Science or similar
- Commercial Python development experience (Modular and Object oriented)
- Ideally you’ll be familiar with Test Automation tools such as Selenium
- Networking switches and protocols (TCP / UDP / etc.) knowledge would be beneficial
- It’d also be a bonus if you have experience with REST APIs, virtualisation technologies (VMWare, etc.)
