Security Admin - Networking / Cloud - Glasgow - Perm - £DOE
Abrecco are working with our well established and highly regarded Glasgow based client to recruit a Security Systems Administrator. You will be proactive, passionate and committed to developing and delivering the best cyber security solutions to external clients. You should be a System Security Specialist with knowledge of all aspects of IT Infrastructure and networking with expertise in enterprise IT Security. Role responsibilities:
-Administer networks; routers, switches, firewalls admin and content filtering
-Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
-Security Configuration Management
-Continuous Operational Security Monitoring
-Developing process and procedures as well as training for operations staff
-Change management and capacity planning
-Incident tracking, reporting, monitoring and alerting
-Performing systems upgrades, backup and recovery
-Working to industry best practices and standards such as ITIL

Personal and technical attributes:
-Proven hands on system, network and security administration experience
-Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, protocols such as; SSL, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, IPSec and packet analysis tools
-Confident administering security infrastructure technologies and configurations
-Familiar with Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)
-Previous experience in developing and maintaining scripts (Python, PERL, Shell / BASH etc)
-Strong knowledge of Cloud Computing, systems administration and configuration management tools
-Previous Cloud Computing Security Architecture Design Expertise is desirable
-Degree educated in computer science, networking or similar.
