Abrecco’s client is looking for a talented Python Developer with a background in automated test development to come on board and lead a small automation-focused team based in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre. The lucky candidate will play a key role as they bring test automation experience (Selenium, etc.) as well as excellent communication skills to the table and develop Python-based software solutions in one of the fastest growing markets out there. To give you more of an insight as to the responsibilities of the role as well as what our client’s looking for, have a read of the details below:

What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and improving the team as they develop and support platforms and automation frameworks
- Developing Python based solutions and integrations in a Linux environment
- Identifying opportunities to leverage test automation technologies
- Reviewing current systems and operations and identifying areas to improve
- Liaising with stakeholders at various levels

What you’ll bring:
- Commercial Python development experience (Modular and Object oriented)
- Experience of Automated Test development in Python and ideally other tools such as Selenium Webdriver
- A good degree in Computer Science or similar
- Networking switches and protocols (TCP / UDP / etc.) knowledge would be beneficial
- It’d also be a bonus if you have experience with REST APIs and/or virtualisation (VMWare, etc.)
