Windows Migration Consultant - Win10/AD/SCCM - Perm - Edinburgh - Market rates

Our client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Windows Migration Consultant to work in a fast paced project environment and deliver to their enterprise customers. You will have enterprise Microsoft Windows expertise and be confident in your abilities across Win10, AD, Group Policy, MS exchange, virtualisation and SCCM for the migration and deployment of solutions. In addition to your technical abilities, you should be customer focussed and an effective team player with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude and the ability to work with stakeholders and users at all levels.

Role responsibilities
- Analysis, system administration and support of Microsoft desktop and server technologies
- Analyse existing environments, understand and investigate compatibility issues / licencing etc
- Design migration solutions for multiple physical and virtual platforms
- Automate the deployment of Windows desktop and server OS
- Execute successful migration to Windows 10 including planning, testing and execution
- Contribute to additional ongoing projects as required

Personal and technical attributes:
- Deploying and administering Microsoft Windows to 8 (ideally 10) and MS Server to 2016
- Packaging and automating the deployment of desktop OS/applications etc
- In depth knowledge and experience with Active Directory and Group policy
- Microsoft SCCM including package deployments
- Any exposure to Office365 and Azure would be beneficial
- Positive proactive attitude with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with people at all levels
- ITIL or Microsoft certification would also be beneficial.
- Driving licence and own vehicle
